On October 4, 2022, the Third District Court of Appeal hosted a group of Master of Laws (LLM) students from Florida International University College of Law. The group of students, who are already licensed and practicing attorneys, come from culturally diverse backgrounds. They represent countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, Russia, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, Haiti, Italy, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Turkey.

The foreign attorneys attended an oral argument session with Judge Kevin Emas, Judge Edwin A. Scales, III, and Judge Eric Wm. Hendon. Following the oral argument, the judges held a question-and-answer session in the courtroom, and later attended a luncheon hosted by the Dean of FIU College of Law Antony Page, Associate Dean Manuel Gomez, and Professor Rodolfo Pittaluga.
