How to Apply

Completed applications for the 2025-2026 academic year will be considered on a rolling basis beginning October 1, 2024. The deadline for submission of a completed application is June 15, 2025.

 

Your application to our FIU LL.M. is just two steps away:

1. LSAC Registration

First, you need to register and create an account through Law School Admission Council LSAC at LSAC LL.M. Applicant Services , and pay the application fee.

2. Upload Documents

Second, you need to upload all the required documents for evaluation (proof of foreign law degree, transcripts, proof of English proficiency, curriculum vitae, personal statement) directly to LSAC, and provide information about two individuals who will write letters of recommendation on your behalf.

Once your application is complete, LSAC will transmit it directly to us, and our Admissions Committee will communicate with you directly regarding their decision.

Important information for Foreign Applicants: Full-Time Enrollment Requirement for international students

If you are going to apply for an F1 visa to study for your LL.M., please inform us. All international students with F1 visa, MUST register FULL TIME or will fall out of status and become ineligible for immigration benefits. For Fall and Spring Semesters they will have to take a minimum of nine (9) graduate credit hours each semester.

Students applying for an F-1 visa are required to show that they have sufficient funds to provide for their educational, living and personal expenses to be issued the necessary I-20 document for a student visa. For further information please refer to ISSS and scroll down, as well as ISSS FAQ
