Banking Concentration

Miami holds the nation’s second-largest concentration of international banks, and serves as the gateway for corporate and financial transactions to and from Latin America. FIU Law’s Banking JM program leverages this valuable location to help banking professionals grow in this highly dynamic field. The program’s emphasis on BSA and AML compliance empowers its graduates with the skills to navigate the important strategic and operational challenges in the increasingly global environment in which today’s banks operate.

FIU Law’s unique partnership with the Florida International Bankers Association (“FIBA”) also rewards JM Banking graduates with FIBA’s CPAML certification alongside in addition to the JM degree, thanks to the program’s rigorous AML/BSA course of study. The CPAML is a credential tailor-made for a management or supervisory position in senior compliance, risk, or consulting.
