On Mar. 9, 2021, Professor Carpenter presented his new research, The Effect of Changing the Military’s Rape Law on Law Enforcement Case Processing, to the faculty of the Loyola Chicago School of Law. In this research, Prof. Carpenter along with colleagues at the FIU Department of Biostatistics measured whether the change in the military’s rape law in 2007 from a common law statute to a offender-centric statute had any impact on how law enforcement processed sexual assault cases.
