Congratulations to 3L Annabelle Gonzalez-Suarez who was awarded an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellowship! Annabelle will be working with Catholic Legal Services of Miami (CLS) assisting with the representation of detained individuals.

“I am honored to have been selected as an IJC Justice Fellow to represent individuals currently detained in immigration detention,” said Annabelle. “I would not have been able to accomplish this without the support of the faculty and staff at FIU Law, who consistently encourage students to serve our South Florida community.”

At FIU Law, Annabelle participates in many organizations. She is currently the Executive Symposium Editor for FIU Law Review and a member of Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocacy, the Public Interest Network, and the Women’s Law Society. Annabelle is also a student ambassador for the Office of Admissions
