H.T. Smith recently delivered a cutting-edge presentation on the art of storytelling in Opening Statements. The title of his presentation was, “The Ten Commandments of Opening Statement” and the seminar was titled, “Trial Skills for Minority Lawyers.” The seminar focused on the human dynamics and legal mechanics of winning a case in the beginning of trial with a powerful, persuasive and passionate opening statement. H. T. Smith is the Director of the Trial Advocacy Program at FIU Law.
