FIU Law Review has concluded its most successful year yet, publishing four issues and hosting two symposia at the FIU College of Law.

The Separation of Powers symposium, organized in collaboration with Professor Elizabeth Price Foley, was held on March 11, 2016. Professors David Bernstein, Ronald Rotunda, Lee Strang, Brannon Denning, Jonathan Adler, Michael Ramsey, Josh Blackman, and Mr. Jesse Panuccio presented their law review articles to over two hundred members of the legal community. The Law Review published their articles in Volume 11.2.

Professor Eloisa Rodriguez-Dod worked with FIU Law Review to organize the Religion and the Law symposium, held on October 23, 2015. Professors Stanley Fish, Mary Anne Case, Karima Bennoune, Frank Ravitch, Marie Failinger, Beverly Moran, Sahar Aziz, Timothy Tracey, Haider Ala Hamoudi, SpearIt, Robert Katz, Shawn Crincoli, Ms. Asma Uddin, and Mr. Rahimjon Abdugafurov presented their articles to a packed courtroom. The authors’ work was published in Volume 11.1.

The Law Review also published two symposium-based issues about Aviation and Space Law and Layers of Law and Social Order and twenty-two legal blog posts. Last year, the Review’s articles were downloaded a record 12,000 times.

This year, the Review established the Law Review Alumni Board on which former executive board members Dominique Pando Bucci (Editor-in-Chief, 2015-2016), Johanna Talcott (Executive Managing Editor, 2015-2016), and Courtney Walter (Editor-in-Chief, 2012-2013) serve. The Board’s mission is to serve as the Law Review’s institutional memory, to connect members, and to promote FIU Law Review’s publications and symposia.
