Professor Osei-Tutu presented Redefining Intellectual Property Progress as the nominated speaker for the Maiden Distinguished Speaker Series at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. Professor Osei-Tutu argued that intellectual property progress must be redefined to include human development as one of its core goals. Osei-Tutu’s talk was attended by academics, graduate students, government officials, diplomats, and members of the public. The audience responded with a great deal of interest to the unconventional arguments presented, with the conversation continuing after the question and answer session had finished.
