A new feature is available for you to test out in Google Chrome called “SGE while browsing”. SGE stands for Search Generative Intelligence, a form of AI that can summarize articles and provide suggestions for further research while you browse the internet. As always, the use of these products come with risks including those already inherent to Google searching. Be aware that there are significant privacy issues in using any ‘free’ product on the internet, and results retrieved by Google may be skewed by your location, browsing history, and algorithmic favoritism, so please use judiciously.
