FIU Law once again ranks among the top-fifty public law schools in America, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Law School Rankings. The College ranked #48 among public law schools in the publication’s annual law school rankings, and #90 overall – the highest ranking in its history. Its part-time law program also reached its highest ranking, increasing 13 spots to #24 nationally.

“As South Florida’s only public law school, FIU Law takes to heart our mission to deliver a contemporary, high-quality educational program to our students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college,” said Dean Antony Page.

The College also received national praise in a recent American Bar Association analysis of bar exam performance. There, it ranked #2 among all ABA-accredited law schools for bar exam overperformance, where graduates’ results are adjusted based on the difficulty of the bar exam that they take.  It also ranked #12 among all law schools (without diploma privileges) for overall bar exam success. FIU Law’s Class of 2019 earned a 94.8 percent bar passage rate in 2019, topping Florida’s statewide average by almost 24 percentage points.

The most recent U.S. News & World Report also recognized a number of FIU Law’s specialty programs, such as its international law program, which rose 26 spots to #52 and the Legal Skills & Values program – which provides students with a rigorous analytical experience over a three-semester curriculum – rose to #70 nationally.
