Professor M.C. Mirow presented his paper, “The Thistle, The Rose, and the Palm: Scottish and English Legal Officials in British East Florida,” at the British Legal History Conference 2017 last month in London. He also chaired a session entitled “Law and Practice in the Eighteenth Century British Empire” at the same meeting. Mirow is a founding faculty member of the College of Law and a member of the Florida bar.
