On October 24-25, 2016, Professor Eric R. Carpenter participated in the American Law Institute’s (ALI) Advisers and Members Consultative Group Joint Meeting for the current project of revising ALI Model Penal Code’s sexual assault and related offenses. During the meeting, the participants discussed the proposed definition of penetration and the substantive offenses of forcible rape, sexual penetration without consent, rape of a vulnerable person, and sexual penetration by coercion or exploitation.
