The Leesfield Family Charitable Foundation has awarded a law school scholarship to third-year law student, Jessica Satinoff. Satinoff is the Executive Comments Editor for FIU Law Review. The scholarship was granted in association with the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL) and presented during the 33rd Annual Judicial Reception and Scholarship Presentations event held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Brickell.
“It was an honor to receive this award and represent FIU Law at the Judicial Reception” Satinoff shared. “FAWL is an incredible organization and I admire their commitment to promoting the advancement of women in the legal profession.”
Following graduation in May, Satinoff hopes to pursue a career in family law.
In addition to serving on the executive board of the FIU Law Review, Satinoff also serves as a Certified Legal Intern at Dade Legal Aid, a non-profit law firm that provides civil legal assistance to vulnerable populations including children, victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, and impoverished families.
