On Thursday, November 12, third-year law student Karel Suarez was among a group of honorees from Florida to be recognized by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) for their leadership and contributions to the organization.

Suarez serves as the National President of the organization’s Law Student Division (LSD) and the evening was nothing short of spectacular!

“It was one of the most incredible moments since arriving in this country,” Suarez beamed. “I was able to receive an award for being the HNBA LSD National President alongside some of Miami’s best attorneys – many of whom have been my mentors since I started law school. To receive this honor next to them was incredible.”

The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) is the nation’s leading advocate for Hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, legal assistants, law students and other legal professionals in the United States and its territories. The Association also advocates on issues of importance to the Hispanic community. During his inaugural speech, Suarez pointed out that his goals will be “to recruit, educate and involve law student members within the HNBA.”
