The president of the American Society for Legal History (ASLH) has asked Professor M.C. Mirow to co-direct a graduate student colloquium in Washington this October. The criteria for directing the colloquium states, “two distinguished ASLH members will lead the colloquium. Ideal faculty directors will have strong ties to the ASLH, ample experience directing legal-historical theses and strong mentoring records.” Professor Risa Goluboff, the John Allan Love Professor of Law at the University of Virginia, serves as the other co-director. The graduate students accepted to the colloquium are doctoral students at Harvard, Michigan, Princeton, Penn, Toronto, UC Berkeley, UC Davis and Rice.
“It is an honor to be asked to co-direct the colloquium this second year of the program. Risa is a fantastic scholar, and it will be great to work with her and these super graduate students,” said Mirow. A long-time member of the ASLH, Mirow has served on its Board of Directors and Program Committee. He also continues to serve on the Board of Editors of its official journal, the peer-reviewed Law & History Review published by Cambridge University Press.
Mirow is a member of the Founding Faculty and the Florida Bar.
