During The Florida Bar’s annual convention, which was held June 24-27, rising third-year DeeDee Bitran was awarded with a Labor and Employment law $1,000 scholarship for excellence in Labor and Employment law.
While at FIU Law, Bitran earned three CALI book awards for excellence in employment law, employment discrimination and for an employment discrimination seminar. She is the incoming president of FIU Law’s Labor and Employment Society, an Articles Editor for the FIU Law Review and is on the Moot Court team. This past spring, she won first prize and $3,000 for her essay on Title VII’s disparate impact.
Bitran is currently a summer associate at Shutts & Bowen.
