The Florida International University Student Government Association (SGA) has awarded five FIU Law students with scholarships. Cesar Zucatti Prtisch, Daniel Blackman and Yanglier Suarez Lopez who are third-year students, and Dominique Pando Bucci and Erik Zorilla both second-year students were selected for the awards.

Both undergraduate and graduate level students were able to apply for the scholarships. The SGA awarded more than $100K dollars to students throughout the university.

The FIU Law students earned their scholarships based on meeting the minimum grade point average requirement of 3.3 and for demonstrating leadership qualities while at FIU and throughout the community.

Applicants were selected based on their academic record, letter of reference and essay.

The Student Government Association at Florida International University is a cohesive student body that aims to establish a student government providing a form of representational government through which the individual student can affirmatively participate.
