Following A Judge’s Perspective on Current Threats to a Fair and Impartial Judiciary discussion, the panelists recognized Manuel A. Silva – a current LL.M. student – whose essay, “Why are fair and impartial courts a sacred tenet of our democracy?” received top honors and a $500 scholarship prize. The essay contest was sponsored by the Informed Voters Project.
