On August 28, 2014, Professor Charles C. Jalloh gave the opening keynote speech entitled, “The Negative Impact of the Security Council on the Legitimacy of the International Criminal Court.” The theme of this two-day inter-disciplinary conference which is comprised of some leading international lawyers, political theorists and other social scientists from both Europe and the United States is on Legitimacy and Effectiveness of International Criminal Tribunals.
