Law General Scholarships

As the cost to pursue a legal education continues to rise, the need for scholarships is crucial. On average, our students are graduating with nearly $100k of law school debt. In addition to any debt that may have been accumulated while pursuing an undergraduate degree. Scholarships also serve as a vital recruitment tool for the law school to attract and retain top students.

If you were a scholarship recipient, or know people that were, you understand the impact that scholarship funding has on a student’s overall law school experience. Our student body remains predominantly first generation and majority minority, which, in some cases, makes receiving a scholarship the determining factor in the decision to pursue a law degree.

Your gift to the Law General Scholarships Fund will support the law school’s effort to award more scholarships to our students each year. All gifts are tax deductible and cumulative gifts of $150 or more annually count toward the Dean’s Alumni Circle. With twelve monthly payments of $12.50 or more, you can help impact the lives of future generations of lawyers.

Please consider making a one-year or five-year pledge at one of the following giving levels:

Five-Year Pledge: $5,000, $3,500, $2,500 or $1,250

One-Year Pledge: $1,500, $1,000, $500, $250, or $150

HOW TO SETUP YOUR PLEDGE PAYMENT

Select a giving level under the one-year or five-year category, then use the pledge duration tab to determine the frequency of your gift installments. For example: A gift of $250 can be paid in 12 monthly installments of $20.80 or one payment of $250; a gift of $1,500 can be paid in 12 monthly installments of $125 or 6 monthly installments of $250; a gift of $5,000 can be paid 60 monthly installments of $83.33 or 36 monthly installments of $138; a gift of $3,500 can be paid in 60 monthly installments of $58.33 or 36 monthly installments of $97.22; and a gift of $1,250 can be made in 60 monthly installments of $20.80 or 36 monthly installments of $34.72.

Once you select the pledge duration, the monthly payment will change to reflect how much you will be charged per month based on the total giving amount. After you have created your desired pledge payment schedule, enter your credit card information, and select secure payment.

Five-Year Pledge: All gifts at this level can be made in monthly, quarterly, or annual installments over a five-year period.
