The Legal Studies Institute not only boosts of a distinguished faculty who are legal professionals in the community, including current and former judges, private practitioners, assistant state attorneys and public defenders, but our location in Miami – the most international city in the United States – provides career opportunities and job placement in some of the world’s largest law firms.

But, what makes LSI at FIU the most unique Paralegal Program is that classes are taught inside Rafael Diaz-Balart Hall, which is home to FIU Law. As a student of LSI, you will have access to the FIU Law Library just like current law students have, you will staff available to meet with you in person Monday through Friday to answer your questions and a warm, friendly community that is committed to your success.

With our combination of a strong legal foundation and real-world application, students complete the Paralegal Program with sound legal knowledge, the ability to think critically and the proficiency to start a successful legal career. Graduation

• The Legal Studies Institute awards a Certificate of Completion to each student who successfully completes all course work. Students are invited to participate in a graduation ceremony celebrated once a year in June. Family members are welcome to attend.

The Administration of the Legal Studies Institute reserves the right to modify, delete, cancel or change programs, tuition fees, and faculty as deemed necessary.
