GrayRobinson announced that Karim Batista, J.D. ‘13, has joined its Litigation Section as a shareholder. Batista will focus his practice on marital and family law and will be based in the Miami office.

Since graduating from FIU College of Law in 2013, Batista has spent over a decade advising clients on marital and family issues with a blend of compassion and expertise. He adeptly guides clients through complex situations like divorce, child custody, alimony, and property division. His litigation practice is primarily financial, with specialized experience in representing athletes in family and matrimonial disputes. As a certified mediator, Batista utilizes his intermediary skills to foster understanding and agreement in what are often contentious cases.

Before joining GrayRobinson, Batista successfully ran his own private law firm specializing in family law, immigration law, and property settlements. He also spent nearly five years as an adjunct professor at FIU College of Law. Batista holds a J.D. from FIU College of Law and a B.A. in History from Florida State University.
