On May 15, 2024, Professor Carpenter presented his research project, “Normative Words and the Fundamental Limits of Rape Law Reform” at the annual Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF) conference in Washington, DC. CAAF is the federal appellate court for the American military justice system, situated just below the Supreme Court. It is composed of civilian judges on 15-year terms.
