Professor Thomas E. Baker has published the 2023 Annual Supplement to his coauthored casebook, First Amendment Law: Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Religion (5th edition 2022) (PDF available here). It is a widely used and highly influential text on the subject. The Professor uses his casebook when he teaches his popular course here at the FIU College of Law. He says, “It is an advantage to me — and to my students — to use my casebook to teach this important course. There are many challenging problems in the casebook that enrich the learning experience.” William D. Araiza, the Stanley A. August Distinguished Professor at Brooklyn Law School, who is a coauthor on the casebook commented, “Professor Baker is a knowledgeable and creative scholar who makes our casebook better for his contributions. I value Tom’s collegiality and I appreciate the care and intensity he brings to his work. I am sure his students do the same.”
