On August 11, 2022, FIU Law Librarian Marisol Floren-Romero presented at the Caribbean Association of Law Libraries (CARALL) Conference and Annual General Meeting. The theme of the conference was Caribbean Law Libraries in a “Post” World: Realities and Possibilities.
Marisol Floren, and co-speaker Ana Isabel Delgado Valentin, Legal Research Librarian, at Suffolk University Law School, focused on a comparative and foreign law topic. “Two Former Spanish Colonies and Differences in Their Legal Systems: Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.” They explained historical developments in their legal systems highlighting key elements and difference between the legal systems of the two countries.
