3L Stephanie Capon is proudly representing the FIU Panthers while dancing for the Miami Dolphins. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Stephanie’s dance career started at the age of four and has continued to dance throughout her life.
One of the reasons that Stephanie chose to study at FIU Law in 2019 was that she wanted to continue to be involved in the South Florida Community.
This past summer, Stephanie tried out for the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders. After a vigorous process of rehearsing, training, and interviewing, she was chosen out of about 450 dancers. Following joining the team, Stephanie began the 10-week process of intense training. Stephanie’s rookie season with the Miami Dolphins has just begun and she intends to continue dancing with them for many more years.
While dancing for the Miami Dolphins, Stephanie is in her third year at FIU Law. One of the many reasons she selected to study at FIU law was because of the FIU community. “I wanted to be part of the FIU community because there are such supportive teachers and classmates,” said Stephanie. “It felt like home.”
At FIU Law, she is a current member of the Negotiation Team and Moot Court. Recently, she was crowned champion at the intramural negotiation competition and will be competing in regionals soon. Stephanie wants to become a corporate litigator and one day become a sports entertainment lawyer for the Miami Dolphins.
