Prof. Choudhury presented her work in progress “Law, Islamophobia, and the Racialization of Religion” at the Tulane faculty workshop on February 22, 2020. Her article examines how the Muslims are racialized by tracing the history or race and American Orientalism in the construction of Islamophobia She also explores how law is used to promote negative ideas about Islam and Muslims. This work will be published in The Handbook of Race and the Law.
