• New Multiple Searches Within

• Users can now apply up to 10 “searches within” to a result set

 

 

 

 

 

The “Search within” pop-up includes new functionality to support multiple searches within such as by clicking “Remove all” deletes are searches within which were previously applied or by clicking

“Edit previous” restores the last applied query to the search bar for editing.

• Previously applied searches within are listed in reverse order of application

 

 

 

 

 

• Only the last applied term is highlighted

 

 

 

 

• Multiple “searches within” are displayed on the full History page

• Legislative Insights
• Thomson Reuters is partnering with Skopos Labs to provide AI driven insights into proposed federal legislation on Westlaw Edge.

Probability of Enactment:  Skopos provides a prediction of the probability a bill will pass both Chambers and be signed into law by the President. Variables considered by Skopos include, but are not limited to, 1) the full text of the bill, 2) political and legislative variables such as the bill’s sponsor and the political composition of the Congress, and 3) variables external to the legislative process such as GDP, the unemployment rate, and catastrophic events.

• Industries Impacted:  Bill is tagged with SIC codes for the industries potentially impacted by the bill if passed.
• Re-evaluated daily to account for changes in bill text and external factors.

• Real-Time Incarceration and Arrest Records 
• Coverage includes 39 states plus the District of Columbia.  Records are available from numerous county jails and Department of Corrections facilities. Most jurisdictions are updated hourly.
• Records can include:

Profile information: name, additional names, SSN, date and year of birth, driver’s license, zip code

Images:  front and profile images of the arrestee/incarcerated individual

Charge information: charge code, description of offence, National Crime Information Center(NCIC) code plus description

Booking information:  arrest date and arresting agency, booking agency, holding facility, inmate number, offender ID, days incarcerated, release date and time, release reason
