Copy Citation (No Need to Copy Text)
Another exclusive-to-Westlaw-Edge feature is the new Copy Citation option. Found in the Copy Link drop-down menu on the document toolbar, users can now choose a citation format to copy and paste into a document. No selected text is required.
Once Copy citation is clicked, a box of options will appear for additional customization. Users can select from a variety of citation format, see a preview of their selection and opt to have the pasted citation include a hypertext link to the location of the document on Westlaw. These selections can be made “sticky” for future use in the Preferences menu.
Practical Law Document Alerts
One of the best aspects of Practical Law (PL) is that so many of our documents have a green MAINTAINED stamp on them. When you see this, you know our Practical Law attorney editors are keeping the contents as current as the law itself. But how do you know if a PL favorite has had changes made to it? With the new PL document alert feature, of course!
Click the bell button on the document toolbar to start your PL document alert.
Then give the alert a name and enter your email address. Your done! You will receive notification when an update has been made, along with a summary of the new content.
