FIU College of Law Professors H.T. Smith and H. Scott Fingerhut have been honored again for inclusion in the 2018 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
Best Lawyers highlights the top 5% of practicing attorneys in the United States and is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. For more than three decades, in almost 70 countries, and now in its 24th Edition, Best Lawyers has earned the respect of the bar, media, and public as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals anywhere.
“We teach our students that you are either getting better or you are getting beat,” Professor Smith said. “As mentors and coaches for our students, we strive to get better at what we do and what we teach each and every day.”
Professor Smith is the Founding Director of the Trial Advocacy Program and teaches Advanced Trial Advocacy and Trial Advocacy.
Professor Fingerhut serves as the Assistant Director of the program. He teaches Trial Advocacy, Pretrial Practice, and Criminal Procedure.
The two also lead our champion Trial Team.
