In anticipation of its 8th Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament in November, the University of Miami School of Law Alumni Association has honored Professor H.T. Smith as Tournament Legal Honoree.
At its annual dinner, Professor Smith was described thusly: “H.T. Smith is a trial lawyer, specializing in criminal defense, civil rights, and personal injury. For the past 43 years, Mr. Smith has been a powerful voice and advocate for justice, equal rights, and human rights, and has been recognized by the National law Journal as one of America’s top 10 trial lawyers of the year and received numerous awards and honors for his commitment to uplift his community and for his service to the legal profession.”
Professor Smith is Founding Director of the FIU College of Law Trial Advocacy Program. He teaches Advanced Trial Advocacy and Trial Advocacy.
