On February 26, 2015, Dr. Marisol Florén-Romero presented her paper, Luis Florén Lozano y los Orígenes de la bibliotecología en la República Dominicana, 1940-1973 at the National Library Pedro Henríquez Ureña in celebration of the library’s 40th anniversary.
Dr. Florén-Romero was invited by the National Library of the Dominican Republic to speak on the historical development of libraries and library science in the Dominican Republic from 1940 through 1973. Dr. Florén-Romero was the sole presenter at this event which highlighted the history and development of libraries in the Dominican Republic.
