Brian Karpf ’07 is one of 16 attorneys appointed to serve on the Board of Governors for the Florida Bar Young Lawyer’s Division (“YLD”). Karpf will serve on the Technology, Diversity, and Communication committees through 2015.
“It is humbling and a true privilege to serve as a Young Lawyers Division Governor,” Karpf shared. “Serving provides me with the incredible opportunity to represent the interests of young lawyers across Florida, to interact with the state’s legal leaders, and to make a positive difference in our bar and Florida’s legal system as a whole.”
“Brian is not only an accomplished young attorney, but is also a leader,” Robert Scavone Jr., President of the FIU Law Alumni Association said. “He is making his mark in the legal community and raising the profile of FIU Law and its alumni. I congratulate him on this accomplishment.”
The Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar includes more than 24,000 members. The Board of Governors consists of elected and appointed members hailing from each of the State’s judicial circuits, and also includes several out-of-state representatives. Its mission is to act as an advocate and resource for its affiliates and members and to provide basic skills courses and enrichment activities beneficial to all young lawyers or newly admitted members to The Florida Bar.
