FIU Law graduates achieved an 87.3% first-time passage rate on the July 2026 Florida Bar Examination, exceeding the statewide first-time passage rate by over 12 percentage points.
"FIU Law is once again #1 in Miami,” said Interim Dean Daniel Z. Epstein. "This achievement is the result of countless hours invested by our students, their families, our bar preparation and student success leaders, and the faculty and administration of this law school.”
The results follow a year of national recognition of FIU Law programs. The Academic Excellence Program and Bar Exam Success Program both received 2026 Excellence in Innovation: Law Schools honors. FIU Law also received the 2026 Excellence in Mental Health and Well-Being Award, recognizing the law school’s broader commitment to student well-being and success.
FIU Law has also expanded its focus on practice readiness through new artificial intelligence and legal technology initiatives designed to prepare students for a rapidly evolving legal profession.
The latest bar results come as FIU Law welcomes the most academically accomplished entering class in its history. Entering with record median LSAT and undergraduate GPA figures, the Class of 2029 joins a law school distinguished by its commitment to academic achievement, bar readiness, experiential learning, and preparation for legal practice.
