Our graduate certificate program leverages Miami's unique location as a hub of environmental law to help you become a competitive law practitioner in the State of Florida, across the United States, and internationally.
The program provides graduate-level instruction to students interested in learning about laws surrounding:
- State and federal environmental legislation
- Environmental policy
- Governance of natural resources
- International environmental issues
Certificate Requirements
This certificate is only open to degree-seeking students. Applicants who are enrolled in the J.D. program must be in good academic standing.
Duration
At least 15 credits, including three Required Courses, 6 credits from our Elective Courses list. Students may also take 2-3 credits from the Related Courses list to satisfy the 6 credits of electives needed
GPA
Students must earn a GPA of 2.7 over their law school career and a GPA of 3.0 in the courses listed on the Environmental and Natural Resources Law course list.
