Profs. Matthew Mirow and Howard Wasserman presented on their 2021 book, Painting Constitutional Law: Xavier Cortada’s Images of Constitutional Rights, on January 6, at the Georgia General Assembly Continuing Legal Education Seminar. They discussed the history and study of legal iconography, explored Cortada’s paintings, and envisioned new paintings depicting Georgia-based cases. Over 150 Georgian lawyers and judges attended and followed the presentation with interest and questions about law and images.
