Guerrero-Rocca will attend this session (NY 16-20 Feb. 2026) at the United Nations, representing MIAS (Miami International Arbitration Society), who has been formally designated Observer since its foundation. MIAS’s delegation is led by our Associate Dean Manuel A. Gomez.
At its 57th session in 2024, UNCITRAL mandated Working Group II to work on the recognition and enforcement of electronic arbitral awards and, subsequently, on electronic notices of arbitration. This 83rd Session is intended to fulfill that request, addressing in chapter II amendments to the Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration (MAL), additions to the Explanatory Note to the MAL and to the Notes on Organizing Arbitral Proceedings, and notices of arbitration in electronic form.
