This past weekend, two FIU Law teams, consisting of 2L’s Daniela Marin Alonso, Priscilla Tamayo, Julia Krebs and Joseph Gonzalez, competed in the ABA’s Regional Mediation Competition hosted by St. Mary’s Law School. The competition, conducted online, included twenty-four teams from law schools throughout the country. FIU Law was strongly represented, with both teams achieving a clean sweep in their opening rounds of competition.

Additionally, Daniela Marin Alonso and Priscilla Tamayo swept the competition during the remaining rounds and secured the #1 seed, ultimately winning the final round of the regional competition during the second day of competition, becoming the Regional Co-Champions and advancing to nationals. Daniela and Priscilla will represent FIU Law at the ABA National Mediation Competition in March of this year hosted by Chapman University where the top ABA mediation teams from around the country will compete. Congratulations to the Regional Champions!
