FIU Law graduates earned an 81% first-time passage rate on the February 2026 Florida Bar Exam, ranking #2 among all law schools and exceeding the statewide average passing rate by 19.2 percentage points.
“This result reflects the collective work of our community,” said Interim Dean Michelle D. Mason. “It speaks to the strength of our bar exam and academic success programs, the commitment of our faculty, and, most importantly, the dedication and determination of our students.”
Since 2015, the College’s cumulative first-time bar passage rate ranks No.1 in Florida; of the 1,520 graduates who have taken the exam, 87% have passed on their first attempt.
FIU has now finished No. 1, No. 2, or No. 3 in twenty-one of the twenty-two Florida Bar Exams since July 2015, underscoring the College's unwavering investment in student success from the first year of law school through licensure in one of the nation's most challenging bar exam jurisdictions.
The bar exam results also follow U.S. News & World Report’s most recent Best Law Schools rankings, where FIU Law’s employment outcomes ranked No. 1 among all South Florida law schools. As a university, FIU ranks No. 1 nationally in social mobility (upward economic mobility).
