Third DCA hosts FIU College of Law LLM Students

Third DCA LLM 2025Since 2017, Florida International University's College of Law has hosted an annual event known as "A Day With Florida's 3rd DCA" as part of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program. On November 4, 2025, the Third District Court of Appeal welcomed a group of LL.M. candidates from the class of 2026. This diverse group of attorneys, licensed to practice law in 18 countries, includes representatives from Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Italy, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Romania, Russia, Türkiye, the UK, Ukraine, and Zambia. 
 
The LL.M. candidates attended an oral argument session presided by Judges Kevin Emas, Monica Gordo, and Fleur Lobree. Following the oral arguments, the judges conducted a brief question-and-answer period in the courtroom, and afterward, Chief Justice Edwin Scales III, and Judges Thomas Logue and Fleur Lobree joined the LL.M. candidates for a luncheon hosted by Associate Dean Manuel Gomez and Adjunct Professor Rodolfo Pittaluga, Jr., where the question-and-answer session and conversation continued.
