On October 25, FIU Law Professor Barbara Ballan presented at the Appalachian Public Interest & Environmental Law Conference (APIEL) at the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law. This annual Conference gathers lawyers, scientists, students, and members of the general public to discuss environmental issues and happenings in Appalachia, public policy, and grassroots initiatives.
Professor Ballan was the sole presenter on a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit panel on corporate environmental accountability, a session designed for practicing attorneys and requiring a high level of expertise.
