Over the last weekend of January, FIU Law students in the Environmental Law Society attended the 40th annual Everglades Coalition Conference. Hannah Jackson, 2L, was awarded the student scholarship for the event and participated in their mentorship program. Two members, Sasha and Zach, met Miami Mayor Levine, who hosted a great reception for the conference.
The Annual Everglades Coalition Conference is the largest forum for discussing Everglades restoration progress, challenges, and opportunities, bringing together conservation groups, elected officials, business leaders, local, state, tribal and federal partners, scientists, and students to engage in meaningful dialogue about restoring America’s Everglades.
