Alexander Fortich

Biography

With over 28 years of experience in compliance, risk management, and financial regulation, Alexander has built a career helping financial institutions navigate complex regulatory environments while supporting strategic business growth. His experience includes developing and managing global foreign correspondent banking relationships, balancing business expansion with effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

He currently serves in the private equity and investment advisory industry, where he oversees compliance programs involving U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations. This experience has provided him with a broad perspective on global financial services and evolving regulatory frameworks.

In addition to his industry experience, he has taught at Miami Dade College and has served as an instructor at Florida International University College of Law for more than nine years. He is passionate about connecting real-world regulatory and compliance practices with the classroom to prepare the next generation of legal and compliance professionals.
