Professor H. Scott Fingerhut ’s comment was sought once again for the Daily Business Review, this time on the recent malpractice suit filed by a real estate investor against Miami law firms Greenberg Traurig and Kluger Kaplan, Silverman, Katzen & Levine.
The suit, which names partners Alan Dimond of Greenberg Traurig, and Alan Kluger of Kluger, Kaplan, among others, seeks $15 million in damages and reserves the right to seek a punitive damage award, alleging gross negligence for the defendants’ failure to properly advise the investor on whether he had authority to bring a prior suit.
