3L Kevin Hill named Teacher of the Year at Mandarin Lakes K-8 Academy

Congratulations to 3L Kevin Hill who was recently named Teacher of the Year at Mandarin Lakes K-8 Academy in Homestead, Florida. Kevin is making an impact both as an educator and as a law student at FIU.

Kevin is set to graduate from FIU Law in May 2025.

“My education at FIU Law has instilled a strong foundation in Family Law and has sparked a passion for pursuing a career in this field,” said Kevin. “It has also opened the door to exploring opportunities like joining the JAG Corps with the U.S. Air Force, where I can combine legal expertise with public service.”

In the future, Kevin hopes to become a judge specializing in family law, where he can help resolve disputes and support families in need. Outside of law, he remains committed to mentoring and inspiring students, a dedication recognized through his work at Mandarin Lakes.

At FIU Law, Kevin has been actively involved in the Black Law Student Association (BLSA), which has supported his growth and advocacy for diversity in the legal field.
