Generating formatted citations with PowerNotes.
PowerNotes has always captured source information and URLs. Now that information can be formatted into proper citations – perfect for a bibliography or footnotes.
Install the PowerNotes Extension
- Using the PowerNotes extension, select a text passage or image.
- After you file the content to a topic, the notes box with appear. Click the quotation icon at the bottom of the notes box.
- In the extension sidebar, you’ll now see the citation pane. Use the “Format” menu to pick from MLA, Chicago, APA, AMA, IEEE, or Bluebook formats.
- Check all the citation data to make sure the information captured is accurate before hitting Save.
- Citations can be accessed from the extension sidebar or viewed and exported from a Project Outline.
We also added a “Source Notes” section to Citation. Here, you can add important details about a source, such as how you found it or questions you may have about it. You can add several text fields to Source Notes.
