On May 6th, Tucker Pryor, 3L, received a commission as a second lieutenant in the Air Force at a ceremony held on the University of Miami campus.  After passing the bar exam, he will be promoted to first lieutenant and will begin service as a judge advocate.  Lieutenant Pryor was selected for the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps Student Program when he was a 1L.  As a 2L and 3L, he participated in ROTC at the University of Miami while continuing his legal studies at FIU Law. In addition to Lieutenant Pryor’s family, Professor Baker, Professor Carpenter, Marcus Nielsen (3L), Tyler Acham (3L), and Molly Brock (2L) attended the ceremony.  Ms. Brock was recently selected for the Student Program and is currently participating in ROTC at the University of Miami. “Tucker worked extraordinarily hard to earn his commission,” said Professor Carpenter, a retired Army judge advocate.  “He will be a superb leader and lawyer in the Air Force.”  Students interested in JAG careers should contact Professor Carpenter.
