Prof. Howard M. Wasserman reported for SCOTUSBlog on January 11, 2017 on the oral argument in Goodyear Tire & Rubber v. Haeger, reviewing an award of $2.7 million in attorney’s fees arising from Goodyear’s bad-faith litigation misconduct. Oral argument took place on January 10, 2017 and the transcript is available from the Supreme Court of the United States.


Prof. Wasserman joined FIU Law in 2003 and teaches civil procedure, evidence, federal courts, civil rights, and First Amendment; his scholarship focuses on the freedom of speech and on the role of procedure and jurisdiction in public-law and civil-rights litigation.
