Prof. M.C. Mirow joined colleagues in legal history from Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, and The Netherlands to contribute to a Festschrift honoring Abelardo Levaggi, one of Argentina’s best-known legal historians. His work entitled “Causas civiles en la Florida Oriental, 1785-1821” examines cases of debt collection, commercial disputes, real property, and slavery in St. Augustine, Florida, immediately before the province became a territory of the United States. “Abelardo is a kind and generous scholar, a model of what an academic, teacher, and mentor should be. I am honored to have been asked to write for this book,” said Mirow.

The work is published by the University of Buenos Aires Press and may be found here.
