On October 8, 2014, Associate Professor Charles C. Jalloh gave a media interview discussing the status of the case involving Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta. President Kenyatta, who is charged with five counts of crimes against humanity, was summoned by the judges to appear for a status conference at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague today. During the popular show, Africa 54, broadcast daily out of Washington by Voice of America Television and widely followed in Africa, Professor Jalloh answered questions on the perennial problems that the ICC prosecution has encountered getting Kenyan government cooperation and the critique that the ICC is unfairly targeting African States.
